  Overleden: Francis Daniel Joyce, age 86, St. Cloud, MN died Monday, October 27, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral services will be Friday, October 31, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2003 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the serivce at the church on Friday. Prish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Francis Joyce was born January 17, 1917 in Crosby, ND to Nicholas and Mary (Huls) Joyce. He graduated from Crosby High School in 1936. Francis served in the United States Army during World War II. On September 11, 1947 he married Bernadetta Ferkinhoff. She died on June 13, 1971. Francis married Joyce Woodrume Dombrovski on August 19, 1981 in St. Cloud, MN. Francis was employed as a state and federal grain inspector until 1974. Fran 1974 until his retirement on July 9, 1979, Francis was employed by St. Cloud State University. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of St. Cloud, MN; sons and daughters, Michael (Pat Boom) Joyce of Roseville, MN; David Joyce of Tyrone, MN; James Joyce of Park Rapids, MN; Gary Joyce of Litchfield, MN; Mary Joyce of St. Cloud, MN; Pauline Joyce of St. Cloud, MN; Theresa (Gerry Hesch) Joyce of Foley, MN; step son Jeff (Kim) Dombrovski of Williston, ND; step daughter, Becky Gardner of St. Cloud, MN; brothers and sisters, Thomas Joyce of Seattle, WA; Raymond Joyce of Santa Barbara, CA; Mary B. Francois of Papillion, NE; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Bernadetta, daughter, Barbara Joyce, stepdaughter, Sheryl Dombrovski and three sisters.
