Services for Ira J. Weintraut, 77, 303 Dagley Court, former Waldron resident, who died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday at W. S. Major Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent Catholic Church.
The Rev. James Dede will officiate. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Murphy Mortuary, where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ira Weintraut Memorial Fund.
Mr. Weintraut had been seriously ill six weeks.
A retired farmer, he had also operated Mary's Coffee Shop in Waldron. He was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church.
A Son of Frank and Crescentia (Fischer) Weintraut, he was born Feb. 1, 1906, in Shelby County. He was married Oct. 8, 1932, to Mary Roell who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Ralph Weintraut, Lake Santee, and Raymond Weintraut, Waldron; daughters, Mrs. Keith (Pauine) Smith, Lake Santee, Mrs. Bob (Ruth) Logan, Greensburg, Mrs. Carol (Irene) Adams, St. Paul, Mrs. Gordon (Judy) Beck, Manilla, and Mrs. Charles (Dianna) Robertson, Hope; 30 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ed (Cecilia) Belter, Greensburg. Poor health for several months; critical condition for the past two days: Mrs. Cresentia M. Weintraut, 81, wife of Frank J. Weintraut, R. R. 1, Waldron, Liberty township, died Tuesday at Major Hospital.
Born July 16, 1876 in Liberty township, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth Fischer. Married February 23, 1897; husband survives with children: Mrs. Max Beyer, Liberty township; Mrs. Ed Belter, Greensburg; Mrs. Virgil Tull of Fairland; Ira Weintraut of Waldron and Mrs. Henry Fisher of R. R. 1, Waldron. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mary Weintraut of Cleveland, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church; burial in the church cemetery, Rev. Anthony Seger will officiate. Member of the St. Anne's Altar Society and the Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Murphy Mortuary. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, Oct 21, 1959)

Mr. Benjamin Fisher, of Waldron, died this morning at 6 o'clock. He was much esteemed by all the citizens of Liberty township. A large family are left to mourn him. (The Daily Evening Democrat, Jan. 29, 1881)

The funeral of the late Benjamin Fisher occurred at the Catholic Church this morning at 9 o'clock, and was attended by all the people in the vicinity of that gentleman's late residence. Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher, aged 80 years, well known resident, of near Prescott, died at the home of her son Frank Fisher, at seven o'clock Sunday morning. Death was caused from a complication of diseases, from which she had been suffering fro some time.
Mrs. Fisher came to this county in1871 and since that time had made her home in the community where she died. She was a member of the St. Vincent Catholic Church and up until her health failed was one of the leading workers in this church. She was a beloved mother and leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.
Surviving beside the son at whose home she died, she leaves three daughters and three sons; Mrs. Anna Neice, of Plainfield; Mrs. Mary Weintraut, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Frank Weintraut, of this county; Herman Fisher, of Kansa; Joseph Fisher, of this county; and John Fisher of Johnson county.
Funeral services will be conducted at the St. Vincent Catholic Church, at nine o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial will be made in the church cemetery with Stewart & Fix undertakers in charge. (Obit: The Shelbyville Republican, Aug. 8, 1921)
