Adolphe F. Froehling, 67, R. R. 5, Greensburg, died Tuesday morning in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Froehling was born Jan. 26, 1913 in Dusseldorf, Germany, the son of Hurbert and Elizabeth Scheuffner Froehling, and his father survives, residing in Cincinnati.
He was a cabinet maker by trade and had engaged in farming on R. R. 5 since 1951. He was married to Olivia Weintraut Dec. 1, 1945, at St. Vincent's in Shelby County and she survives, with the father and one son, Richard Froehling, R. R. 5, Greensburg; two daughters; Mrs. James (Theresa) Stapp, Greensburg, and Kathy Froehling, at home; two sisters: Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Lindner, Cincinnati and Mrs. Herman (Elizabeth) Ruether, Cincinnati; six grandchildren; three aunts and one uncle and several nieces and nephews in the Cincinnati area.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg and an army veteran of World War II.
The services will be held at 10:30 Friday in the St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Geis officiating and with burial in the St. Vincnet's Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will begin at 3 p. m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with a rosary at 8 p. m. (Obit: Greensburg Daily News, April 30, 1980)
