    Edward J. Belter Jr., 46, Greensburg, father of a Shelbyville man, died unexpectedly at 11 p. m. Friday. He was stricken with an apparent heart attack in the office of the Belter Motel, Greensburg, where he was the manger.
    Among the survivors is a daughter, Renita Belter, Shelbyville.
    Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Greensburg. Burial will be in St. Vincent Church Cemetery here. Friends may call after 2 p. m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Person Funeral Home, Greensburg, where the rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock Monday evening. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, April 5, 1980)

    Apparent Heart Attack Victim

    Motel Owner Found Dead Here

    Edward J. Belter Jr., 46, manager of the Belter Motel, was found dead late Friday night the victim of an apparent heart attack.
    According to police, Belter's body was discovered about 11:38 p. m. in the motel office by a customer, Monty Hancher, 529 W. First St.
    An anonymous telephone call brought Greensburg police to the scene where the body had been found sitting in a chair.
    Police then called county coroner, Thomas Porter, who later said Belter died of a heart attack and that there was no evidence of foul play in connection with the death.
    Mr. Belter was born July 3, 1933, in Greensburg, the son of Edwin W. Belter, who died Jan. 5, 1973, and Cecilia Weintraut Belter, who survives.
    he was the manager of the Belter Motel. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus and a veteran of the Korean coflict, having served in the army.
    In addition to his mother, survivors include one brother, Donald Belter, Indianapolis; one daughter, Renita Belter, Shelbyville; three nephews and several aunts and uncles.
    The services will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday in the St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in the St. Vincents Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be after 2 p. m. Monday at the Porter-Pearon Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p. m. (Obit: Greensburg Daily News, April 5, 1980)
